Pacific Medical Lab is currently hiring for licensed phlebotomist for 2 of our draw stations in Irvine. Both locations are Mon-Fri and have a start time of 8am or 8:30am Routine responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing routine blood draws - all patients will be adults/elderly
- Confirming patient information - making copies of insurance information and ID
- Reviewing all orders and setting aside all appropriate tubes for collection prior to blood draw
- Providing patients sterile urine cups for urine collection
- Performing proper specimen handling/centrifuging after draw
- Packaging every order for pickup from our courier service
- Informing client services of any STAT pickups
- Staying in constant communication with client services with regards to any questions, confirmation of proper specimen collection and any inquiries patients and/or ordering physicians may have
This is a routine shift with guaranteed hours. Our draw stations aren't the busiest, we anticipate anywhere from 4-10 patients a day. As such, our routine expectations is that all paperwork and collections are thorough, no missing information or incorrect specimens collected since there is plenty of time to confirm everything prior to the draw. Our priority will be with applicants who are local, can commit to the schedule and understand the expectations given the low volume of patients on average.
On site one-on-one training to be provided by our phlebotomists.
