Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently schedule surgeries and procedures for patients, ensuring precision and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to coordinate proper scheduling and preparation for surgeries.
  • Obtain essential patient information and medical records to facilitate the scheduling process.
  • Communicate surgery dates, pre-operative instructions, and required paperwork to patients.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Update and manage electronic medical records and scheduling systems.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients by addressing questions and concerns.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and phone calls.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate surgery schedules with patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
  • Provide clear communication to patients about surgery dates, offering necessary instructions and addressing inquiries.
  • Schedule surgeries based on physician requests and patient needs, ensuring alignment with qualified hospitals for the procedure and diagnosis.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing schedules and patient requirements.
  • Input surgery appointments and post-op appointments into the scheduling system, maintaining accurate and current patient records and scheduling information.
  • Communicate and furnish the billing team with all necessary documentation for the timely billing of procedures.
  • Room patients

Requirements:

  • Preferred experience in a medical or dental office setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is advantageous.
  • Proficient in utilizing scheduling systems such as Eaglesoft or similar software.
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws.
