This position counsels teens, from The age of 12-17, with substance abuse issues and related problems in an outpatient setting. This position carries a caseload and counsels both individuals and groups. This position will engaged in prevention and outreach activities. Reports to the COO and CEO.

Qualifications:

Must be Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor with two years of experience. Computer literate. Must have current TB test, maintain current CPR and First Aid certificates.

Duties:

• Assist in program planning and referral.
• Intakes and assessments
• Treatment planning with clients.
• Facility groups
• Facilitate education groups and individuals sessions
• Maintain all charting and other records as required by state and other pertinent local agencies.
• Provide client supervision at all times
• Interact with probation, parole and other referral sources.
• conduct urinalysis testing, when necessary
• All other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate by management
• maintain a positive and supportive attitude
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Maintain compassion, empathy and professionalism towards clients; their family members and/or significant others at all times.
• attend all required agency staff and training meetings
• adhere to policies and procedures regarding absences and tardiness
• ensure the highest level of service is provided to the people we serve
• maintain client confidentiality in compliance with feral guidelines, including HIPAA regulations
• adhere to staff Code of Ethics and Conduct
• adhere to policies and procedures set forth for agency.
• adhere to safety and housekeeping standards established.
• write appropriate letters to judges, probation/parole, and DFCS

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
