Compensation Details
Compensation will be based on education, experience, tenure, and internal equity. Night shift positions are eligible for shift differentials.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Telemetry Technician-Clerical Coordinator (TT/CC) is responsible for continuous monitoring of ECG and SpO2 for assigned patients and promptly alerting the RN of any changes. Operating within the Centralized Telemetry Command (Tele-Command), this role plays a critical part in patient safety, supporting ICU, step-down, ER, and med-surg units across Hoag facilities.
Additional responsibilities include:
Daily maintenance and operational checks of monitoring equipment
Supporting the clinical team by maintaining an organized nurse station
Promptly answering telephones and patient call lights
Providing assistance to patients, visitors, and healthcare team members
Performing clerical functions such as maintaining census records, organizing supplies, and tracking inventory
Monitoring electronic orders and notifying Charge Nurse of new admissions
Participating in shift swaps and skill competency checks
Performing other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a basic arrhythmia (ECG) course and successful ECG test
Preferred:
Recent experience in an acute care setting as a Telemetry/Monitor Tech - Clerical Coordinator
Completion of a Clerical Coordinator course with medical terminology
Position Details
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Benefits Eligible: Yes (excluding Per Diem)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Nights 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM preferred; Days 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM may be available)
Hours per Pay Period:
Full-Time: 72 hours
Part-Time: 48 hours
Per Diem: 24 hours
Reports To
Department Director, Charge Nurse, Relief Charge Nurse, or Clinical Nurse
